SPEAKING OPPORTUNITIES
If your group has questions about pediatric health care, Mountain Pediatrics and Dr. Leswing would love to come talk with you. Whether you are curious about discipline strategies, babies and vaccines, what age to start kindergarten, or almost anything childhood related – We would be happy to sit down and review the latest research with you and your group in a relaxed and informal way where questions are always encouraged. EVERGREEN & MOUNTAIN PEDIATRICS
Mountain Pediatrics and Dr. Leswing love being part of our active Evergreen community. We believe all children benefit from having active and involved parents and neighborhoods. Our Colorado mountain community is stronger when we all come together to promote the health, well being, and learning of children, both in and out of school. Family and community involvement fosters partnerships among schools, families, community groups, and individuals. In turn, these partnerships result in sharing and maximizing resources that lead to not only healthy and happy kids, but kids that grow to become caring and responsible adults. Please look for us around Evergreen, because whether its serving up Chili for the local fire fighters, in the parade for the Evergreen Rodeo, or at the Bergen Fall carnival we would love to see you.
EVERGREEN FALL CARNIVAL BY THE BERGENS AND EVERGREEN FIRE & RESCUE SAFETY DAY
This year our volunteer fire department combined efforts with the Bergen PTA to put together both of these great annual events into one awesome time. With pancakes in the morning, rides in the fire trucks, and relay races in the afternoon how can you go wrong? We loved seeing such great community participation for this wonderful day. It directly supports Bergen Elementary which is one of our local mountain schools. We were able to vaccinate a lot of Moms, Dads, and kids against the flu at the event and we know that will help keep our entire community safer this winter.
BIG CHILI COOKOFF MUSIC &
ARTS FESTIVAL, EVERGREEN, COLORADO
We worked hard on our “Mountain Chillin” Red Chili this year, and we are so glad that you liked it. It was our 3rd year cooking for Mountain Pediatrics and our 5th year cooking as a team. This is a spectacular family fun event that raises money for our local mountain volunteer fire fighters. Even a little bit of rain couldn’t keep down the record setting attendance this year. We might have been tired from making 10 gallons of great chili – but more than ever we were proud to be there.
EVERGREEN RODEO PARADE
We all had a fantastic time at the parade this year. The weather was perfect, and we loved the “under the Big Top theme”. We were the 32nd entry and it was great to see so many of our families along the parade route. Both the Evergreen Rodeo and the parade are great non-profit community events that help to raise money to support our local community and provide college scholarships.
